All important administrative functions of the INTERFER Group are located in our Head Office in Karlsruhe. We are looking for a committed, full-time manager for the operational management and strategic orientation of our logistics at the earliest possible date.

LOGISTICS MANAGER

Your tasks include

  • Holistic management and optimisation of the supply chain - from sea transport to the local end customer via our external national and international logistics hubs
  • Analysing and improving logistics processes in close collaboration with purchasing, sales and order processing
  • Digitalisation and automation of logistics processes using modern IT systems
  • Optimisation of warehouse logistics and distribution processes in coordination with logistics partners
  • Cost and performance controlling (stock turnover, delivery times, transport costs, etc.)
  • Development of a KPI system for continuous monitoring and improvement of logistics performance
  • Selecting, managing and optimising external logistics partners and service providers
  • Ensuring sustainability and compliance in the supply chain (e.g. environmental friendliness, CO₂ reduction, compliance with international trade and customs regulations)
  • Risk management and crisis management in the event of supply bottlenecks, market changes or logistical disruptions
  • Managing and developing an international logistics team (currently 4 employees) with a focus on team spirit, efficiency and excellence

YOU bring

  • Many years of professional experience in multimodal logistics, ideally in an international environment with a focus on imports
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse and transport logistics as well as the management of logistics service providers
  • Experience in process optimisation, digitalisation and automation of logistics processes
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Confident handling of modern IT systems and digital logistics solutions
  • Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and a pragmatic solution-orientation
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Interest in and enjoyment of international contexts and business
